Day 15, Part 1: Biedronka saves the day OR two drowned rats explore Opole West

So much for weather apps. The 30% chance of rain at 9am with less than 1mm accumulation, followed by clear skies, fooled us. We left our jackets at the hotel and went in search of the local farmer's market where we saw several families picking up 5kg (or more) of cucumbers and pickling kits (bundles of dill, garlic and horseradish). Then it started to rain. We hustled along to a Biedronka (grocery store named Ladybug) to stay dry and to get souvenir shopping bags. When things looked drier, we took a bus across town to explore the Ulgi Canal. The bright sunny view was deceptive. About 45 minutes into our canal walk and no shelter in sight, we were using our Biedronka bags to protect us from the downpour. Admittedly, when the rain picked up a third time, we (and many other pedestrians) were pretty wet, but we'd found a bridge to weather out the storm. Finally, the clouds yield to sunshine. Yay!
